MindLinkNZ
For schools, students and education communities
MindLinkNZ supports schools with a structured eight-session Student Wellbeing Skills Program for Years 5–12, alongside digital wellbeing resources, early-support pathways and privacy-aware school administration tools.
Structured school program
The program is designed for Tier 1 universal and Tier 2 targeted delivery. Each session includes learning objectives, a 45–60 minute lesson flow, student activities, facilitator guidance, safeguarding boundaries and a defined takeaway.
Mental health literacy, recognising wellbeing needs and understanding appropriate help-seeking pathways.
Recognising emotions, building emotional vocabulary and practising healthy regulation strategies.
Practical coping skills for stress, pressure and difficult thoughts, with clear boundaries between education and clinical care.
Problem-solving, responding to setbacks, perseverance and identifying personal strengths and supports.
Connection, communication, respectful relationships, belonging and recognising healthy sources of support.
Healthy boundaries, safer online behaviour, bullying awareness and knowing when and how to seek adult support.
Learning readiness, motivation, confidence, realistic goals and strategies for managing school-related challenges.
Bringing skills together into a personal wellbeing plan covering strengths, goals, support networks and next steps.
Implementation support
Schools can create Tier 1 or Tier 2 cohorts, allocate students, follow facilitator guidance, record lesson completion and use consistent pre/post program measures. School administrators can monitor program delivery while confidential individual support information remains protected.
Safeguarding by design
Students are not required to disclose personal mental-health experiences in lessons. The program focuses on practical knowledge and skills, with appropriate pathways to trusted adults and professional support when needed.
Facilitator guidance includes safeguarding and escalation expectations. The program is preventative wellbeing education and does not replace individual therapy, diagnosis, emergency services or a school's safeguarding obligations.
